Dropzone Dance is a Seattle-based dance community which offers classes in multiple styles. The company's core mission is inclusive, accessible, and equitable, and they needed a new brand identity which represented these values. I worked with the Dropzone founder to create a new logo, style guide and social media templates which could be incorporated into their social media and website.

MOODBOARDS
Celebrating Movement and Community
The process of creating the moodboards for DropZone Dance began with understanding the founder's mission: creating a welcoming, inclusive space where students not only learn dance but connect with its rich history. The aim was to create visuals that resonate with both the diversity of the community and the vibrancy of the various dance styles, allowing the branding to feel as dynamic and welcoming as the classes themselves.

LOGO DESIGN
Fluidity in Motion
The name 'Drop' naturally evokes imagery of water and fluid movement, a perfect parallel to the movement of dance. I aimed to create a hand-drawn, typographic logo that combined the shape of a water droplet with the dynamic energy of dancers. Starting with multiple rough ink sketches, I refined the design to arrive at the final logo.

TYPOGRAPHY & COLOR
Go Bold, Vibrant, and Full of Energy!
Designing the color palette and typography for DropZone Dance was driven by the desire to craft a bold, dynamic, and welcoming brand identity. I selected energetic, personalized fonts to reflect the passion and dedication of the instructors in every class. The color palette was chosen for its vibrancy, ensuring the brand feels open, inviting, and full of life.

INSTAGRAM TEMPLATES
Applying the Re-brand across Social Platforms
I developed Instagram templates for Dropzone to help establish the visual style across the brand's social platforms. These templates offered a system for treating the photography and applying the typography.

MERCHANDISE CONCEPTS
New Merch DROP
The logo re-design was also implemented across the brand's merchandise. T-shirts, hoodies and other clothing items were made available for students to purchase on Dropzone's online store.
